UV hotmelt adhesives<\/strong> are based on acrylates. UV light triggers the crosslinking reaction of these UV-curable adhesives. Both process and product characteristics can be precisely controlled: by adjusting the UV dose, adhesion (tack) and cohesion (internal strength) of the PSA film can be finely tuned.<\/p>\n

UV-acrylate hotmelt PSAs offer outstanding flexibility in adhesive performance. Starting from a single base formulation, a wide range of properties can be achieved simply by varying the UV exposure \u2013 from high cohesion to strong tack. They also provide superior durability, with excellent heat stability, resistance to UV and oxygen (avoiding embrittlement or yellowing), and high moisture resistance, outperforming SIS hotmelt alternatives.
