UV dryer systems operating under oxygen-reduced conditions represent the cutting-edge form of UV curing<\/strong>. In this process, the oxygen in the process area is replaced by nitrogen, meaning that the crosslinking reaction of UV-reactive inks and coatings, as well as silicones (release paper\/film), takes place under so-called inert conditions.<\/div>\n
This offers clear advantages: inks, varnishes, and coatings cure faster and more efficiently<\/strong>. At the same time, due to an improved degree of crosslinking, product properties such as scratch resistance and chemical resistance of surfaces can be optimized. Curing under nitrogen almost completely eliminates the typical UV odor, while the formation of ozone and yellowing are avoided.<\/div>\n
With our Inert UV drying systems, residual oxygen levels below 30\u202fppm (required, for example, for the siliconization of release liners) can be achieved even at the highest production speeds.
